When is the best time to enroll?
Dizzy says "Anytime is great...We have classes going on all throughout the year. It is very easy to begin with no obligations."
Are parents allowed to watch their child's class?
Dizzy says "Absolutely! We enjoy a huge open studio atmosphere with a lobby and seating open for you to view all your child's dancing fun."
"Is my child ready for competition?"
Dizzy says "If your child enjoys a fast pace and loves to dance as well as has expressed interest in watching other dancer's routines other than their own, chances are they are ready. Competitions are a great learning tool for development and there are even catergories for new students as well as special awards to give them confidence! If however you prefer we have many Recital classes that are fun and enjoyable as well."
"How much will all of this cost?"
Dizzy says " Most all dance classes at Dizzy classes will learn a routine to perform at the Recital and 1 costume will be needed for that routine. In the spring there are special techique only classes that do not require an end of year recital. For the competition dancer each routine requires a costume. deposits are made along the way. Storing away little nest eggs of extra money each month is a tip that many parents use to be ready for competition season. Most entry fees run around $30 per dancer."
"What do I need to be a Competition Dancer?"
Dizzy says " All Company dancers are required to audition and take a weekly Jazz Tech class. Additional classes in Ballet and Lyrical Tech classes are strongly recommended. Company dancers are encouraged to take as many master classes that are available throughout our region as well as brought in to our own studio throughout the year!!
What else does a Competition Company dancer need? Black Booty shorts, tan gore boots, plus our new black and white studio jacket. Orders will be taken throughout the year.
"How do I get started?"
Dizzy says "It's very easy to get started ! To reserve a spot in a Dizzy class immediatly all interested new students may register online. Or we would love for your to drop by the studio at anytime in the afternoons and check when an available class time is for your child. Please feel free to call to get started at anytime as well ...Phone calls are always welcomed! Parents are welcome to watch classes everyday at Dizzy! Being a parent myself , I know have much fun it is to watch your child take class and they love for you to enjoy it with them...getting excited about learning new and advanced dance techniques, having fun with friends and growing as much as you can especially in the summer months will help all dance students reach their dance levels faster.
